Through my own personal weight loss journey, I discovered a passion for nutrition and would talk anyone’s head off that would sit still long enough! Through the encouragement of those around me, I decided to become a Certified Nutrition Coach and help others lose unwanted weight.

Here’s a bit of back story…

It was early 2000’s. I was in my mid-20’s, married and the heaviest I had ever been. I had a meltdown in a department store dressing room when I tried on a pair of pants in a size I had never worn before.

I made up mind that day I was going to lose the weight. I joined Weight Watchers. I lost the weight, and EVERYTHING WAS GREAT!

But then…I GAINED IT ALL BACK! UGH!

Well, I did what most do. I decided to go through the same program again (duh!) and BAM! I lost the weight…Until it all came back AGAIN…rinse & repeat. My weight yo-yo’d up and down for years.

Fast forward to 2018, now in my 40’s…

I found myself struggling with weight gain again, and I knew it was time to take a fresh approach. This time, I was determined to find a sustainable way to not just lose the weight, but keep it off FOR GOOD.

Upon the recommendation of a personal trainer, I started consuming a low carb diet. In addition to my daily exercise routine, this change to my daily eating habits got me headed in the right direction. Then in 2019, after doing a lot of research, I decided to add intermittent fasting into the mix as well. It proved to be even more of a game changer than a low carb diet alone.

But the biggest impact on my health and weight loss journey has been taking a deep dive into nutrition…and learning how to read ingredient labels.

Learning what ingredients in our food are inflammatory and cause gut issues and weight gain (i.e.: grains/gluten, seed oils, sugar!) has been life-changing for myself and my clients. Five years later, I’m in the throws of perimenopause/menopause and have been able to keep the weight off.

I have also been successful in helping other middle-aged women learn how to eat a healthy diet and lose weight at the same time.
